Spontaneous pneumothorax is a common disease encountered in hospital practice. It usually occurs in young men and presents with sudden onset of respiratory distress and chest pain. We report on a patient with spontaneous pneumothorax, who presented with epigastric pain, mimicking peptic ulcer disease or acute pancreatitis. The pain subsided after chest tube thoracostomy.
