We read the article with great interest by Sircar et al, which characterized unintentional, non–fire-related (UNFR) carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning deaths in the United States [1] . We commend the authors' efforts in their attempt to identify at-risk populations and risk stratify patients based on demographic factors. This information would be vital to prevention.
